Green Card Renewals

If you are a lawful permanent resident of the United States, you can periodically renew your green card to maintain your legal presence in the United States. Green cards can be renewed by completing and submitting Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card, with Immigration Services.

A legal permanent resident may benefit greatly from and enjoy many benefits with a current, unexpired Green Card. Examples include being able to obtain a  driver’s license, board a plane, or apply for a job.

Regardless of whether you’re applying for your first green card or a renewal, we can help. We will offer you with excellent legal representation and respond to any of your inquiries. Our team is available to answer your questions, give you sound counsel, and help you through the legal system.

It is important to renew your green card before it expires as failure to do so can result in a fine and imprisonment. According to the Immigration and Nationality Act, “Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him.” It goes on to state that failure to comply with these regulations is a misdemeanor charge.
